Delaware County Engagement Photographer | Ridley Creek State Park | Hannah + Travis

Engagement

Hannah and Travis met about four years ago where she was a bartender and he was “security”. The first time they talked she noted that he looked familiar. He responded, “no” and walked away. You see, Travis gets nervous around pretty girls. A few days later he realized that she was right and that they actually went to the same small high school. It took about a month later before he got the nerve to talk to her again.

Needless to say, they worked it out. They booked a few months ago but I met them the first time at their engagement session at Ridley Creek State Park in Media, PA. They brought the two new family members, Lana and Jack – one a 10 month old pitt/lab mix and the other an 8 month old yellow lab. I think Hannah and Travis know that they’re crazy for taking on two puppies, a wedding, and a house.

Somehow we had the most incredible day. The light was golden, the weather was perfect, and we practically had the place to ourselves.

Walking around with two puppies is no easy task.

There is a whole series on the steps where they’re showing me their ‘canoodling’ and completely cracking up that I just adore.

Travis took Hannah back home under the ruse of her mother’s birthday. He has finagled it so that she was allowed off work. They first went to his parents’ place where they took a walk with the pups on the large property. They stopped at a spot with a fantastic vista where there was champagne and he popped the question with ring that held the stone his father gave his mother.

I am so looking forward to their Brantwyn Estate wedding next September in Wilmington, DE! It’s going to be awesome!

“Words can never fully say what we want them to say, for they fumble, stammer, and break the best porcelain. The best one can hope for is to find along the way someone to share the path, content to walk in silence, for the heart communes best when it does not try to speak.”

Jessi + Josh: Engagement Session in Love Park
Jessi and Josh came up from Newark, DE last Friday for an engagement session over at Love Park in Philadelphia. It's almost sacrilege that I'd never been there before. We were all surprised by how small the LOVE statue actually is.They were an adorable couple and Love Park really seemed to fit. It was cute and urban to match Jessi and Josh's fun, hipster style. Not only were they sweet as can be, but Jessi had these stunning turquoise eyes and Josh had a pair of big brown beauties. We got off to a late start due to traffic and had planned to check out another site, but we ended up just playing around the little square once the sun set. It a ...
