Delaware County Engagement Photographer | Ridley Creek State Park | Hannah + Travis
Engagement
Hannah and Travis met about four years ago where she was a bartender and he was “security”. The first time they talked she noted that he looked familiar. He responded, “no” and walked away. You see, Travis gets nervous around pretty girls. A few days later he realized that she was right and that they actually went to the same small high school. It took about a month later before he got the nerve to talk to her again.
Needless to say, they worked it out. They booked a few months ago but I met them the first time at their engagement session at Ridley Creek State Park in Media, PA. They brought the two new family members, Lana and Jack – one a 10 month old pitt/lab mix and the other an 8 month old yellow lab. I think Hannah and Travis know that they’re crazy for taking on two puppies, a wedding, and a house.
Somehow we had the most incredible day. The light was golden, the weather was perfect, and we practically had the place to ourselves.
Walking around with two puppies is no easy task.
There is a whole series on the steps where they’re showing me their ‘canoodling’ and completely cracking up that I just adore.
Travis took Hannah back home under the ruse of her mother’s birthday. He has finagled it so that she was allowed off work. They first went to his parents’ place where they took a walk with the pups on the large property. They stopped at a spot with a fantastic vista where there was champagne and he popped the question with ring that held the stone his father gave his mother.
I am so looking forward to their Brantwyn Estate wedding next September in Wilmington, DE! It’s going to be awesome!
“Words can never fully say what we want them to say, for they fumble, stammer, and break the best porcelain. The best one can hope for is to find along the way someone to share the path, content to walk in silence, for the heart communes best when it does not try to speak.”
