Oh how I love these long days. It just feels right that I should wake up to sunshine early in the morning and have a full evening of light. I remember being a little kid and being put to bed at 8pm and thinking, “Seriously?! There’s still plenty of play left in this day – just look outside!” So get out there and play. Use all of this light for a picnic, a bike ride, time at the dog park, wandering around Manayunk or South Street, open-air dining, or just plain old cloud watching.

Every month I feature new images for download for you to use as your desktop background. Click to download it and see it at its huge size and resolution.

In winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candle-light.
In summer quite the other way,
I have to go to bed by day.

I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people’s feet
Still going past me in the street.

And does it not seem hard to you,
When all the sky is clear and blue,
And I should like so much to play,
To have to go to bed by day?
~ Robert Louis Stevenson, “Bed in Summer”

Wedding season is upon us! May is officially my busiest month this year and for good reason – everything is lush and green. My daffodils are gone but irises are coming out and the whole area just breathes. Hopefully we’ll have more than a handful of days of that spring perfection before balmy summer comes along. And my couples hope so too. You’ll be seeing some incredible weddings and engagement sessions this season – I’ve got them all over Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey. And that’s only in the next two months!I’m starting this month strong at the Broad Street Run. Are you going? Perhaps you’ll see me there ...

Trash the Dress at Baker Beach
I have been busy, busy, busy! I worked on four shoots this past weekend. I'm going to try hard to get them up ASAP. My first was Friday evening with Felicia. She is my newest Senior Ambassador from Los Gatos High School. "Fashions fade; style is eternal."–Yves Saint LaurentI cannot even begin to tell you how much fun we had. I have been dying to try a "trash the dress" shoot for a while now and Felicia eagerly offered up two gowns for the event. The whole Trash the Dress Phenomenon started with photographer John Michael Cooper, who gets together with brides after their weddings to don their bridal gowns one last time. He then photogra ...

The little girl had just been adopted the week before and the two of them were all smiles and giggles.Bird's-Eye View (I'm determind to get this picture publish ...
