Montgomery County Couples Photographer | Valley Forge National Park | Elizabeth + Matthew

Engagement

It was drizzly and traffic was bad but the colors were incredible, the location was perfect, and Elizabeth and Matthew were awesome. The last time I saw them was on a cold and rainy day last December as they said their vows in a small wedding at Philadelphia City Hall. Now, as the old married couple that they are, we romped around Valley Forge National Park for a love shoot. This was a pretty ideal location for them. Elizabeth worked at VFNP this past summer, keeping her nose to the ground looking for birds’ nests. They’re both very active and love the outdoors. They had actually just come back hiking in the Delaware Water Gap and camping in below freezing temperatures in New Hampshire right before that.

A quick change later and we were on a mission to find tall grass (sans snakes). Of course the grounds had recently been cleared for the season. Not to be dissuaded, we trekked over the river and through the woods (not really) to find the perfect spot.

The skies were getting darker as we headed back.

There were some “props” that we wanted to try out for a picture or two. Sadie, a 5 year old Westie, and Dexter, a 6 year old Yorkie, were eager to join the party. If you know terriers…

This picture is my favorite from the day. I think it is so perfectly them. They’re loving and cozy and affectionate and their love for each other is so obvious.

No ticks, right? Enjoy!

They are adorable and ridiculous in all the right ways.  We had a great time roaming around the halls of their 129 year old, 25 acre estate in Bryn Mawr.  (They live in the residences of the gorgeous Baldwin School.)  Don't worry; more details soon!

(That's right, capital P.)We met on a warm summer evening at Valley Forge National Park in King of Prussia for some engagement pictures that are sure to thrill. Valley Forge Park was meaningful to them because they often ride their motorcycle all around the park together.Ailene is this sweet little thing – full of smiles and absolutely bright and beautiful in her white sundress. Jason plays it cool but his face lights up and he just grins when Ailene eggs him on. It's fantastic. They met at a fu ...

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Philadelphia Museum of Art | Stacy + Joe [teaser]
Ugh… these two! I just dread going through all of the hundreds of images from Stacy and Joe’s extended engagement session around the Philly Art Museum. The problem is that they’re just too good and it will be close to impossible to narrow them down! I was worried this would happen with Stacy and Joe when I met them. My fears have been realized. Sigh…
