You couldn’t have asked for a much more beautiful day than what we had for Erin and Scott’s wedding. I completely lucked out with these two for both their spectacular Art Museum engagement session and then their New Jersey wedding.
My time began with Erin and the ladies at her parents’ house in Vorhees. You can tell that her family is close. Their interactions just exuded love. We allotted plenty of time for her beautiful lace-up Maggie Sottero gown.
I really love it when I get to photograph brides and grooms in their homes where they grew up. It makes the family connection that much stronger.
Scott was getting ready with the guys at his place not too far away.
Their Catholic wedding ceremony was held at St. Joan of Arc Church in Marlton, New Jersey. This was my first time at the church and I just loooved the stained glass windows there.
And who doesn’t love a streamer send-off?
The bridal party checked out a local park before the cocktail hour kicked off. The day really couldn’t have been any more glorious.
The reception was held at the Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Delran (formerly the Castle Yacht Club). The place had been completely revamped. The main ballroom was huge and airy with enormous windows looking out onto the docks and water and giving the perfect view of the sunset over the boats.
The newlyweds entered into quite the ruckus and shared their first dance to “Amazed” by Lonestar.
The speeches by Erin’s college friend (and fellow field hockey player), Rachel, and Scott’s brother, Matt, were fantastic. Matt asked the crowd to vote with applause on who would win in a race between Erin and Scott. When he offered up Scott, there were crickets. Not even his own parents clapped for him. When it came to Erin, the room exploded.
I snuck them out to docks for the last few minutes of golden hour.
Guests enjoyed the sights and weather and easy, breezy ambiance of the place.
…and then they partied. Hard!
The Oh, snap! Photo Studio was in full effect that night!
I’m totally digging the dessert and popcorn display they had for guests at the end of the night.
Erin and Scott, congratulations! Scott, you’d better start training.
I don’t know how you do what you doI’m so in love with youIt just keeps getting better
