Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel | Courtney + Ryan
Wedding
I have known Courtney for a long, long time. We went to elementary school together. When I moved back to Philadelphia from San Francisco a few years ago, she welcomed me with open arms and let me know that I would be photographing her wedding, whenever that may be to whomever that may be. I guess it was about a year or so later that she met Ryan while they were both working at Campbell’s (yeah, of Campbell’s soup). Check out this post for their engagement session in New Jersey.
On the day of their wedding, I showed up at Courtney’s parents’ house in Ardmore. Courtney was so excited to show me, and I was so excited to see, her incredible multi-colored glitter Kate Spade slingbacks. Droooool!

There were fabulous collections and toys all over the house. The room where Courtney got ready had an array of fantastic circus tin wind-up toys.

Another room held military miniatures (with a cameo by Courtney’s something blue).

I was so impressed by her dress decision. She saw it in a magazine, sourced it, and it was the first and only dress she tried on. Talk about love at first sight.

And her other love, Ellsworth, was with us for the pre-ceremony festivities.

Courtney has always been beautiful. On her wedding day she was absolutely radiant!

The ceremony was held at St. Patrick’s Church, right by Rittenhouse Square. Her parents surprised her with trumpeters!

The day gave us meltingly hot temperatures and hot winds. The family and bridal party were such troopers. I couldn’t have asked for much better than this!

Sorry, Courtney, I couldn’t resist!
Then again, not all were so accommodating.

Then I got them all to myself! This is always my favorite part of the day!

Check out the cocktail hour display set up as homage to the fateful place that brought them together. I loved this idea!

The ballroom at the Radisson Plaza Warwick (soon to be the Radisson Blu) was beautiful as always.

Check out the detailing on this wedding cake!

Courtney and Ryan entered the ballroom and shared their first dance, “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers.

The night went by in a blur of toasts, dinner, laughter, and dancing.

So much dancing. I never would have guessed that Ryan’s side especially were total dancing animals. “Party in the USA” came on and Shane, Ryan’s brother, tells me “Courtney didn’t request this song. Ryan did!”

I was so glad to be able to share the day with Courtney and Ryan. It was a blast!
