I admit that I was a little worried about Lisa and Michael’s big day. They say rain is good luck but I don’t know many couples who would choose “good luck” over having the outdoor ceremony they imagined. Luckily, the rain was only a threat. We waited a few minutes and it all passed and the day was just fantastic. You might remember Lisa and Mike from their engagement session around Rittenhouse Square last fall.
Take a look at how their day unfolded. The stage was set in Bensalem, PA at Pen Ryn Mansion. The pearls belong to maid of honor, Jessica, as Lisa’s something borrowed.
Lisa looked in.cred.i.ble! Her slender build was just made to be in a wedding gown. And I can’t even tell you how much I adored the flower in her hair. She just had this elegant grace about her that I can’t even describe.
One of my favorite moments of the day was the first look (or “reveal”) before the wedding when Mike first laid eyes on his lovely bride. His expression was pricesless!
We took some time to wander around the grounds for pictures of just the two of them before the rush of the ceremony and wedding day really began.
Guests mingled on the front patio as we waited for the final word on the ceremony location.
Their ceremony blended a little bit of his Catholic faith with her Jewish faith.
We got a few formals before heading in for the cocktail hour and reception.
Lisa and Mike danced their first dance to Jefferson Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”.
And then Mike and his daughter, Haley, adorably crashed the father daughter dance.
I loved the Mr. and Mrs. signs that Lisa had for the backs of the chairs.
The reception was a ton of fun. Schaffer Sound took care of the party that night.
This was a hugely fun (and attractive!) group they brought out that evening. It’s not a party unless I’m out there on the dancefloor shimmying along to the beats.
And if you’ve followed this blog at all, you know I can’t pass up the food shots.
We were given a glorious treat by wedding guest, Sorin, shaking his thang to Billie Jean. Someone seriously needs to hire this guy for parties. He was a smash hit. With moves like this, it’s no wonder!
Lisa and Mike, what a fantastic wedding. All the best to you both this year and forever!
Lookin’ in your eyes I see a paradise
This world that I found is too good to be true
Standin’ here beside you, want so much to give you
This love in my heart that I’m feelin’ for you
