Engagement
This Delaware engagement session at Brandywine Creek State Park couldn’t have been any better. The fall day was incredible- there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky and the temperature was unusually warm and pleasant for fall. It was my first meeting with Michelle and Chris. I hate to use “cute” when not speaking of puppies and babies but, man, these two topped the adorable charts.
They met while attending the University of Delaware. Interestingly, they had both attended the same high school (and were both on the track and field team) but never ran into one another. Chris heard that there were other people from his alma mater at UDEL so he reached out to them via Facebook.
Michelle and Chris met up to go mini golfing and both felt a connection. Michelle came home from the meeting and told her mother, “I don’t know in what way, but I know that Chris and I will be in each other’s lives for a long time.”
Brandywine Creek State Park is their place. They live nearby and Chris comes to the park a few times a week for hiking, Frisbee golf, and the river. He loves the river. Michelle gets there often too. This is her favorite view.
Michelle has the most incredible green eyes!
Chris bought the engagement ring without a plan. Lucky for him, they were about to go off to France to visit his brother and attend a friend’s wedding. It was on the second day there as they were walking around Nice that he popped the question.
I will be seeing them again next year for their wedding at Aldie Mansion. After visiting a million venues, they came upon Aldie (thanks to Michelle’s dad) and knew that it was perfect!
