Happy Valentine’s Day! Can y’all dig that?

Personal

It’s so fitting that Outkast’s “Happy Valentine’s Day” comes on as I’m writing this post.

Since I didn’t get my act together in time to post desktop wallpapers for February, I’ll do a special mid-month post in honor of Valentine’s Day. Here are some images for you to use that will hopefully inspire a little romance and sweetness this month. Click to download it and see it at its huge size and resolution.

*Please note these images are made available for personal use only.

I also wanted to let you know about some great deals going down this time of year…

Amazon.com is offering up a free download of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get it On”. This deal is only for Friday, 2/13 and Saturday, 2/14. Marvin Gaye and love go together like, well, Marvin Gaye and love.

Lots of Philly restaurants are having specials to bring in you and your honey. Here are more offers under $50.

This isn’t just a day for couples; those with kiddies can join the festivities too!

I was at DSW today and they had so many shoes on clearance. Don’t know if it’s all stores or just the one at 62 Greenfield Avenue in Ardmore, but check it out if you dare.

Oh, and I should throw it out that Lindsay Docherty Photography is offering a pretty sweet deal too: a discounted Boudoir Session in the month of February. Get $75 off the basic session and $200 off the Boudoir package that includes a hair and makeup artist, champagne, and a 5×7 album. Indulge a little! Contact me for more information.

Happy Valentine’s Day
Every day the 14th!
I don’t think y’all heard me!
I just wanna say Happy Valentine’s Day!
Every day the 14th!
Can y’all dig that?

Destination Wedding in Italy | Castello di Vincigliata | MINE!
Many of you have asked about MY wedding.  Well, it was beautiful and amazing and I would never in a million years do it that way again!  Little Miss Type A, professional wedding photographer holding a destination wedding in a country I had never visited, speaking a language I don’t know, on a continent an ocean away…  Yeah, it was stressful but so, so fabulous.  (And I admit it was pretty cool to say I was having a destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy.) Here is my story of the day and some of the snapshots from myself and our 25 guests.  You can see the professional pictures (by the oh-so-talented Alison Conklin Photography team of Alison ...

10 tips for Broad Street Run Newbies
The Broad Street Run is an iconic Philadelphia institution.  It’s an easy course at a great time of year with lots of enthusiastic spectators.  I am no elite athlete but I have done the BSR for the last 4 years and have a few half marathons and a full under my (fuel) belt.  If you’ve gotten a spot in the lottery but have never taken part in this piece of Philly history, read on: 1) Dressing for the BSR: check the weather. It will probably be cold when you start. Bring a throwaway sweatshirt with you to toss to the side when the race begins. These clothes are all donated to charity. Pro tip: don’t wear the BSR race shirt you got at the exp ...
