Models

Don’t come knocking on my door if you want headshots or modeling pictures that include any combination of GlamorShots, white background mugshots, or anything involving a greenscreen. I’m just not that kind of gal. Feel free to show up if you’re Leslie.

Leslie laughs easily and has always had that glimmer in her eye to be a singer. As a singer/songwriter her music is a mixture of folk, blues, and jazz. She contacted me to photograph her for promo images for her upcoming album and I absolutely jumped at the chance. The things that she was describing and showing me – natural, outdoors, warm, summery, backlit, bright, airy – evoked a photoshoot that I was eager to create with her.

We met in Newtown Square at a nature preserve right down the street from house. The land out there was beautiful and we picked a fantastic night. We captured the best parts of the evening from incredible golden light to a breathtaking purple sunset.

If people have to put labels on me, I’d prefer the first label to be human being, the second label to be pacifist, and the third to be folk singer.

Kelly Anne: a Snowy Portrait Session at Smedley Park
I have a confession to make: I hate being cold. HATE it! A white, snowy day is gorgeous but I'm perfectly content looking at it through a window with a mug of hot chocolate and plenty of sweatshirts, blankets, and fireplaces to keep me warm. That being said, I ventured out into the snow in Springfield to Smedley Park and I am in love with the results. Portraits in the snow have some sort of magic about them. I may be past listening to 1060am for school closings, but there is that special feeling that comes with those pretty little snowflakes.Kelly Anne made it look like nothing. I assure you she was cold but you'd never know looking at t ...

Philadelphia Model Photographer | Wissahickon Park | Ole
A German weight loss company contacted me a few months ago about a photoshoot. After realizing that this wasn’t a scam, I connected with Ole, one of their many success stories. Ole happened to be living in Philadelphia and had lost 30 pounds through the program. Of course I had to ask him about it. He said he had been a bit hungry at times but it was actually pretty easy and not so bad at all.We met at Valley Green Inn in the Wissahickon Park to snap a few pictures to send to Almased (or in English if you'd prefer). If you’re looking to lose a few (or just want to see my pictures up there in a few weeks), check out Almased - ma ...

Philadelphia Portrait Photographer | Papertini
Lindsay, we don’t want those boring pictures of us looking boring and stiff and standing like this [prom pose]. I want us to look like a bunch of friends just hanging out. Can you do that?Sugar, please! When it comes to Tanti and the gals at Papertini, there is no possible way the pictures could be boring or stiff. If you’ve met her, Tanti is that little ball of energy. She laughs and smiles and I’m about 99% sure she’s made of sunshine. That’s probably why her floral arrangements are so incredible. Seriously. She’s got creativity out the wazoo and is so much fun. I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Papertini crew a few times now ...
