Singer/guitarist Les “Doc” Raclin comes to the Philly area pretty regularly from his home in upstate New York. I was lucky enough to grab a few minutes with him for a photo session for promo images. We lucked out with a gorgeous day along Kelly Drive.

Starting in coffee houses in Reading, PA Doc has been preforming folk music for the past 40 years (with a prolonged sabbatical from the music spent living on the edge, getting domesticated, and practicing medicine) and has shared the stage with legends Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, and Loretta Lynn.

Stay tuned to his work on ReverbNation for upcoming shows and performances. He has just done a tour highlighting Jewish songsmiths including Paul Simon and Bob Dylan.

If you want to get to heaven,
Let me tell you how to do it:
Grease your feet in a little mutton suet,
Slide right out of the devil’s hand,
And ooze right over in the Promised Land,
Go easy. Make it easy. Go greasy.
