Julia’s water broke at a friend’s barbecue. Not very polite, Julia. After some laboring, pushing was only 15 minutes and then there was Mara (vs. 2.5 hours with big brother, James).
I met her when she was about 1 month old, sweet as can be. I have known Matt and Julia for years after photographing their engagement session, Julia’s boudoir, and wedding many years ago.
Matt found the name Mara and they were sold. Julia might credit The Crown for Mara’s middle name, Elizabeth. It’s a gorgeous name.
Little Mara makes great snortle sounds and cute baby sighs when she loses a sneeze.
Mara’s nursery was James’ old space but with some new details included a wall that Julia ombre’d when she was 7 months pregnant.
My biggest problem with Julia was the fact that she was wearing real jeans – with a zipper and everything! – just one month after birth. Who does that?!
This tiny peanut has a rocking mom, hilarious dad, and a doting big brother. This is one lucky kid!
