November Desktop Images

Personal

This is the time for colors in this area. Just look out your window. This is why friends and family think I’m a ghost this time of year. It’s the busiest part of the year for me because the foliage is so vibrant that everyone wants a piece of it! My October dates booked up lickity split and then November did too when I had to let people know October was closed. This means that there are still a ton of sessions and weddings coming up on the blog before the end of the year. And we’re talking some fantastic imagery too! Indoor weddings, outdoor weddings, city hall weddings, boudoir sessions, and engagement sessions like you wouldn’t believe!

Oh, and if you’re putting off booking your wedding with LDP, don’t. I’m more than half way to my 2012 limit and there will likely be price increases in the new year. Just saying.

I’m leaving you with some incredible colors from the maple tree outside my house. Hopefully it’ll help keep your spirits up as the days get shorter and colder. Every month I feature new images for download for you to use as your desktop background. Click to download it and see it at its huge size and resolution.

Please note these images are made available for personal use only.

How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.

Happy birthday to me!
BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!Mine, to be precise. It’s 11am and I’m parched and dehydrated from my party last night. Don’t confuse this for the post-party hangovers of my 20s that resulted from plenty of booze and uncomfortable shoes. This feeling is the result of an overabundance of salt from my CHEESE PARTY. Oh yes.I am beyond proud of my friends who contributed about 18 different kinds of delicious lactose products. Here are some of the winners: a bright green pesto gouda, cinnamon asiago, mango stilton, a Dutch gouda that was special ordered by my friend Neil across the pond, a mustard seed cheddar called Red Dragon, bucheron, cracked pepper Polly ...

Lindsay Docherty Photography goes to ‘Nawlins
Winter is the time when I can finally breathe again after the madness of fall and the gazillions of weddings that it brings. I use the winter to deal heavily with the advertising/marketing/business end of it all. It’s also when I have the opportunity for professional education. There’s a photography conference in mid-January and I look forward to it every year. This year the Digital Wedding Forum Convention was held in New Orleans. It gathers some of the biggest rock stars of the industry for small classes, shootouts (not nearly as dangerous as it sounds), mentoring sessions, and an all-around good time. A group of us went out and played ...
