October Desktop Images

Uncategorized

Summer no more. Sure, we may have a few hot days but the leaves are turning from their vibrant greens to blazing reds, oranges, and yellows. It’s definitely fall in the Northeast and everyone knows it. This is my busiest month of the year. With colors like these and temperate weather, the conditions are perfect for weddings.

Go on some evening strolls while you still can. This is the time of year to put all of your senses in overdrive: take in the incredible colors, breathe in that crisp autumn air, stock up on spiced cider, carve pumpkins, hoot and holler at the postseason baseball games, roast marshmallows, jump in a pile of leaves, brainstorm your Halloween costume. Explore!

Every month I feature new images for download for you to use as your desktop background. Click to download it and see it at its huge size and resolution.

“There is something in October sets the gypsy blood astir, We must rise and follow her; When from every hill of flame, She calls and calls each vagabond by name”

Great Moments in Portraiture
The internets have some great stuff.Today I found a link to Great Olan Mills photos. Freaking hilarious. Had I been drinking milk, it would have come out of my nose.I admit that I too had the Olan Mills experience when I was younger. Thankfully, I don't own any of the pictures from it but I can tell you that it wasn't pretty. Who knew that bangs don't work on the curly-haired? My step-brother had it worse though, he was in high school at the time of the pictures and, well, he had curly hair too. Big curly hair.I actually had a great client last summer who came to me for family and graduation portraits. They were a really really fun gro ...

In With the New
So business stationary might not do all that much for you, but I'm totally psyched (did I really just say that?) about my new business cards!I really liked my old ones but it was time for a change. I figured I should probably have a picture on them since I am a photographer after all. These are more wedding-y and I'm really happy with them.So come find me and ask for one of my shiny new cards!Oh, and I also got some new stickers in this week. Little round circles with my signature star and lots of green. It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in p ...

WooHooo! Site Update!
I updated my site today. It had been way too long! What's new:I now have a contact form so people don't have to copy and paste my email or call me.I have a new Promotions page. You can find my notice for Senior Ambassadors as well as a special through the month of July. Go look to find out.I have a new Partners page. 'Partners' isn't quite the right word and I'm open to suggestions. Right now it has Little Fish Boutique, which boasts some of my portraits and Moment by Moment, an organization I'm involved in. I don't like simply putting 'Links' but I need something that can hold all of the other businesses and organizations that I support ...
