[Philadelphia Bridal Shows] 9/19 & 9/26

Wedding

The next few months are incredibly busy around here. Weddings, engagements sessions, bridal shows and a few family sessions out the wazoo! Hopefully I’ll stay on top of blogging but no promises.

I do want to tell you about the bridal shows I have coming up.

The first is tomorrow (September 19th) at the Chestnut Club! You already know that I absolutely love this venue. This one is touted as “Philadelphia’s A-List Wedding Planning Expo” and I totally believe it. It’s a more intimate show and a really good one to attend if you don’t want to be overwhelmed. There’s a fashion show too. So come check us out from 1pm to 4pm.

It’s free to attend but register here since admission will be limited.

The other show is the following Sunday, September 26th at The Sheraton City Center put on by the Great Bridal Expo. This show will be enormous. If you want options, options, options, definitely check this one out. You’ll leave with a million ideas. This one is from noon to 4pm and also has a fashion show.

Click here to get tickets to this event. It’s $7 if you pre-register, $9 at the door. Well worth it. Come hungry for wedding planning.

And let me tell you that I take my shows quite seriously. If you’ve been to one of mine, you’ll know that I come prepared with a living room. Yes, a living room. Walls and sofa and all! I guarantee that you won’t see anything else like it there. I want you to be able to sit down, take a load off, peruse some albums, and feel relaxed to ask any questions at all.

You should absolutely come out if you want to check out some hot bridal fashions at the fashion show or take care of some of those nagging tasks on that mile long to-do list or if you want to meet with me in person to find out if I really am five feet tall.

So come on out and find me. Look for all the green and I’ll be close by…

Day 2 of Sheila and Sanjay’s interfaith wedding weekend was just as beautiful as Day 1. Because that Saturday was devoted to celebrating with Sanjay’s Indo-Fijian Hindu traditions (“under the mandap”), Sunday was all about mixing in Sheila’s Jewish heritage (“under the chuppah”). The entire weekend was so lovingly and thoughtfully arranged to celebrate the amazing people raised by two cultures.Sheila, again, the most gorgeous creature in the world that day. She has eyelashes out the wazoo, big, beautiful eyes, and a demeanor that is so bright and inviting that you can’t help but fall in love with her.The ketubah signing was held in the lib ...

Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Atrium at the Curtis Center | Jennifer + Mark
I think Jennifer and I exchanged close to 150 emails in the year + leading up to her wedding. I imagine that’s pretty much the way things have to be when you’re planning a wedding from a different continent. I loved our weekly/daily exchanges and the end result was absolutely worth all of the planning. I saw her only a few times before the wedding, once for Jennifer and Mark’s engagement session at Longwood Gardens (I’m still itching for a pair of those back-seam stockings myself!).The wedding was a smash success! The day was sunny and perfect. The wedding party got ready at the super fashionable Hotel Monaco right at Independence Hall.Jen ...

Two Very Different Venues for Philly Area Couples
I go to networking events in the area when I can. This month brought me to two very different but extraordinary venues that I wanted to share. I can imagine either of them hosting a fantastic soiree. I'm truly kicking myself for not bringing my camera, but I'll post links and you'd better believe I'll have it ready next time.I attended the Brides.com event for event professionals from the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas at the FUEL House in Philadelphia. It was originally constructed in 1902 as the Girard Corn Exchange Bank and served as the home to MTV's Real World Philadelphia series. When it's not hosting fabulous events, it is th ...
