Philadelphia Couples Photographer | Art Museum of Philadelphia | Carrie + Matt

Engagement

Carrie and Matt were my sweet little lovebirds of last year who came to me for their blisteringly hot Philly engagement session around Reading Terminal Market last year before they were off on their destination wedding in California. I so pleased as punch to see them again and find out how hardened they were after their first year of marriage. As it turns out, not at all. I had hoped the newest family member, Pierogie von Schnitzelhund, would be joining us but I believe he was needed for urgent foreign affairs. I feel lucky that we even got to do this session. It was originally scheduled for the Monday of Superstorm Sandy and I had to convince Carrie that this was probably not the best time to go out for pictures.

We checked out the Art Museum after the storm hit and were relieved to still see so much color. The day was really blustery and cold but we did it and it was awesome.

Please note Carrie’s beautiful shmancy shoes. They were her wedding shoes and she deserved another chance to wear them. The thing is, it was way too cold out that day for her piggies to stay in those pumps.

Carrie and Matt, happy anniversary! I can’t wait to see what kind of fun we can have next time. Blizzard perhaps?

Beverly + Charles: An Engagement Session around Rittenhouse Square
Beverly, Charles, Emma and I met up the other week for a great engagement session around Rittenhouse Square. Let me give you a bit of back story: Bev was good friends with Chuck's sister. They've known each other for ages. They even went to the same college (Villanova) and dated a bit while they were there. They parted ways and Chuck went off to med school in Virginia. He came back to the area, the two reconnected, and guess what… They're getting hitched next May at the Radisson Warwick in Philly. The four of us started off in Rittenhouse Square. Emma is a gorgeous two year old Golden Retriever with a lovely coat and an affinity for squ ...

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | West Fairmount Park | Meredith + Dwayne
It’s true: Meredith and Dwayne met at a bar 3 years ago. Before you get any ideas, Meredith was there for a fundraising event (I have no excuses for Dwayne – he was there for a bachelor party). Dwayne got her number and used it (twice) to set up a date at Chris’ Jazz Café in Philly – a really great little venue downtown. Thus began a relationship that brings us to this upcoming weekend when Meredith and Dwayne tie the knot.First we had to get in some engagement pictures. It was chilly but we made it work at the desolate West Fairmont Park by the Horticulture Center.I’m so impressed by their relationship. She works 60 hours a week as a pr ...
