Philadelphia Couples Photographer | Art Museum of Philadelphia | Carrie + Matt

Engagement

Carrie and Matt were my sweet little lovebirds of last year who came to me for their blisteringly hot Philly engagement session around Reading Terminal Market last year before they were off on their destination wedding in California. I so pleased as punch to see them again and find out how hardened they were after their first year of marriage. As it turns out, not at all. I had hoped the newest family member, Pierogie von Schnitzelhund, would be joining us but I believe he was needed for urgent foreign affairs. I feel lucky that we even got to do this session. It was originally scheduled for the Monday of Superstorm Sandy and I had to convince Carrie that this was probably not the best time to go out for pictures.

We checked out the Art Museum after the storm hit and were relieved to still see so much color. The day was really blustery and cold but we did it and it was awesome.

Please note Carrie’s beautiful shmancy shoes. They were her wedding shoes and she deserved another chance to wear them. The thing is, it was way too cold out that day for her piggies to stay in those pumps.

Carrie and Matt, happy anniversary! I can’t wait to see what kind of fun we can have next time. Blizzard perhaps?

Engagement Sessions at Tilden Park with Julie Cheshire
I spent part of Friday with Julie of Julie Cheshire Photography at Tilden Park in Berkeley. I have no idea how big the place is but it seems like there are new paths at every turn.I was there with Julie in March for some engagement pictures of Anjuli and Mark. Anjuli was adorable in her cute cotton dress but I felt so bad for her because it was sooo chilly that morning. She took it like a champ (I would have been a big baby). And since textures are the hot new thing in photography…Aren't they a cute couple? They were so sweet and I have no doubt that their wedding will be beautiful. And here are Amelia and Ted! We spent a few hours with th ...

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | University of Pennsylvania | Amanda + Nick
Amanda and Nick met at Albright College about 10 years ago. He was her orientation leader. Turns out their first date was at a birthday party for one of Nick’s fraternity brothers. Things apparently went well because they’ve got a wedding coming up this May at the Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill, New Jersey. They’ve pretty much lived all over together. He went to graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania and then they took off to Germany together for a few years and then landed in San Diego where they are now. They try to be outdoors together as much as possible, hiking and vitising the beach since they live right by it. We ...

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Old City | Sarah + Ryan
These two beautiful people graced me for an evening of tromping all overt Old City the other day.  They’re new in town, having moved from Florida in May. Ryan’s only request was water so we met at Race Street Pier to begin the pictures.  They were naturals from the first second. The two met at a country bar in Orlando two years ago.  Ryan walked in looking preppy as can be with rolled red pants, a linen shirt, and boat shoes.  Sarah just had to send a picture of this guy to her friends via Snapchat.  He caught her doing it and the rest is history! They were at DisneyWorld in January.  He managed a romantic private night ...
