So I got an email today informing me that one of my pictures was chosen for JPG Magazine! Sweet!

It will be in Issue 13 under the theme “Gravity Powered”. Pick up a copy when it comes out on newsstands.

The image is titled Today’s Not My Day and comes from the Augusta Rodeo in Augusta, MT last summer.

And since lighting doesn’t strike the same place twice, there’s no harm in voting for these pictures for issue 14…

Emotion Capture – this was taken last year at Seattle’s Kite Festival. The little girl had just been adopted the week before and the two of them were all smiles and giggles.

Bird’s-Eye View (I’m determind to get this picture published somewhere)

Fanatic – Earlier this year San Francisco had an invasion of the undead. A flashmob of zombies took over Union Square in May. Their chant: “What do we want? Brains! When do we want them? Brains!” They proceeded to terrorize trolley car tourists and the local Victoria’s Secret. (I suppose the second best alternative to brains is bras.) Completely hilarious.

So check out JPG Magazine and submit a pic or two. You never know when your name might be printed as a byline in a magazine that is seen by a global audience! ; )

She is my newest Senior Ambassador from Los Gatos High School. "Fashions fade; style is eternal."–Yves Saint LaurentI cannot even begin to tell you how much fun we had. I have been dying to try a "trash the dress" shoot for a while now and Felicia eagerly offered up two gowns for the event. The whole Trash the Dress Phenomenon started with photographer John Michael Cooper, who gets together with brides after their weddings to don their bridal gowns one last time. He then photogra ...

JPG magazine voting time
I have a few weddings to share but I'm in the middle or reorganizing my files so it'll be a few days. In the meantime, I'll share some pictures that I've submitted to JPG magazine for their 16th issue.Take a look around the site for some really great images and feel free to vote for mine in the process. ;)Here are the images that I entered this time:Human Impact - San Francisco is the second most densely populated major city in the country. Their efforts to maintain green areas in the city are admirable and more impressive than many other urban hubs, but the expanse or building on top of building is stifling. This image feels very 70s to me ...
