She was in New York for a friend’s birthday. She arrived at the spot early as the band was setting up. He was in the band. They chatted and hit it off. That was four years ago and I’ll be photographing their wedding this June.
Sarah, Kevin, and I met up the other week in West Chester for their chilly but sun-kissed engagement session. In the process I learned about Kevin’s vast knowledge of every food establishment in the city (he recommends Buddy’s burgers, Iron Hill, and Culinary’s, by the way), their pooch, Hazel, who was this close to being a part of the shoot, and the romantic way Kevin visited Sarah in New York one Christmas Eve, took her to a park near her parent’s house, and popped the question.
We started off in Everhart Park.
A quick change (hellooooo, heels!) and a few blocks later and we were on our way towards downtown West Chester. West Chester University brought Sarah from New York. The town and old historic houses won her over. I suppose it helped that she was closer to Kevin.
The downtown is great. West Chester has a ton of shops and is so photogenic with its brick sidewalks and old lampposts.
We considered incorporating Kevin’s drumset into the pictures but the idea was nixed. Instead we got Sarah rocking out in front of Taylor’s Music Store.
I love how in love they are!
It was a great time. I can’t wait to see you two in just a few months!
Love is a friendship set to music.
