Chester County Engagement Photographer | Longwood Gardens | Jackie + Chang

Engagement

I was over the moon when I got booked to shoot Jackie and Chang’s wedding next November. You see, I met these two in 2011 at Jackie’s sister’s, Katie’s wedding and have been kept up to date on the relationship ever since. This is an incredible family and I have no doubt the wedding will be a blast.

Jackie and Chang live in Florida and I was able to snag them both on one of the only free days they had up here for their engagement session at Longwood Gardens. The day looked dismal but Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square never disappoints. The leaves around us were practically screaming with color.

Jackie and Chang met in college. That’s the short story. The long story is that she was dating one of Chang’s roommate. Jackie’s mom tells the tale that it was obvious that Jackie was into Chang when Jackie was out on a shopping trip with her mom and was talking about gifts that Chang might like. Needless to say, the old relationship fizzled and this one fell into its rightful place. Their first date was to a football game at William and Mary and the rest is history.

The rain started to pick up so we made our way into Longwood’s fantastic conservatory.

I don’t know how long this installment will be here but I love it!

Jackie and Change went to a bed and breakfast in Virginia for their one year anniversary. The adventuresome pair had gone horse back riding that morning. The first plan was to have a picnic in front of the B&B. Instead, they were headed out for a hike but missed the exit. Plan C was stopping at a scenic outlook where he waited for other visitors to leave before asking Jackie to marry him. Her whole family (and I) knew that this was coming.

I can’t wait to see you two (and possibly Molly the dog) at the wedding. I can’t wait!

I met with Carolyn and Jeremy the other week at the University of Pennsylvania, where Carolyn went for undergrad, for their e-session. She had given tours during her tenure there so we got a great walk around the campus. Carolyn is from the Philly area though the couple now lives in Boston. They'll be celebrating their wedding in April at St. Thomas Church of Villanova and Philadelphia's Down Town Club.We started by the Fisher Fine Arts Library to warm up from the blustery day. Who knew they had stairwells like this?It was chilly, but really, who cares? It's a fantastic campus and I learned a great many things about these two: Jeremy's bri ...

Chester County Engagement Photographer | Galer Winery | Jamie + Jeffrey
Jamie and Jeffrey are winos in the best possible sense of the word.  Together they share an affection for wine that has been a common thread in their relationship.  Of course that meant that there was no where else but a winery for their engagement session.  They found the perfect place at the picturesque Galer Estate Vineyard & Winery in Kennett Square. Jamie and Jeffrey are both committed to working on self-betterment.  They met at a Landmark Forum course on communicating. The romance didn’t begin until a year later as Jeffrey had just moved back from California. I forgot to ask about her apparently troubled eyes ...

Jun and Bin met about 4 years ago at a party. Her roommate was his best friend. Things gradually and naturally developed into something more. So much more that they’ll be getting married in China next month. They love going on adventures together – from skiing to rafting. I asked what they do together to go on dates, etc and Bin told me that their life is always romantic. Perfection! We met at the Philadelphia Art Museum for an extended engagement session that included a few outfit changes and spots along the way. Here are a mere handful of the images we got that day. Enjoy!  Jun and Bin, congratulations on your engagement and al ...
