Engagement
I was over the moon when I got booked to shoot Jackie and Chang’s wedding next November. You see, I met these two in 2011 at Jackie’s sister’s, Katie’s wedding and have been kept up to date on the relationship ever since. This is an incredible family and I have no doubt the wedding will be a blast.
Jackie and Chang live in Florida and I was able to snag them both on one of the only free days they had up here for their engagement session at Longwood Gardens. The day looked dismal but Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square never disappoints. The leaves around us were practically screaming with color.
Jackie and Chang met in college. That’s the short story. The long story is that she was dating one of Chang’s roommate. Jackie’s mom tells the tale that it was obvious that Jackie was into Chang when Jackie was out on a shopping trip with her mom and was talking about gifts that Chang might like. Needless to say, the old relationship fizzled and this one fell into its rightful place. Their first date was to a football game at William and Mary and the rest is history.
The rain started to pick up so we made our way into Longwood’s fantastic conservatory.
I don’t know how long this installment will be here but I love it!
Jackie and Change went to a bed and breakfast in Virginia for their one year anniversary. The adventuresome pair had gone horse back riding that morning. The first plan was to have a picnic in front of the B&B. Instead, they were headed out for a hike but missed the exit. Plan C was stopping at a scenic outlook where he waited for other visitors to leave before asking Jackie to marry him. Her whole family (and I) knew that this was coming.
I can’t wait to see you two (and possibly Molly the dog) at the wedding. I can’t wait!
