Michelle + Alastair: Engagement Session at 30th Street Station

Engagement

30th Street Station in Philly is just gorgeous. I absolutely adore the architecture and it’s just neat to photograph at a train station.

Michelle and Alastair found me through some strange connections (my friend Martha who lives in Seattle who I met at photography school in Montana referred me to Michelle and Alastair who live in San Francisco but met Martha and her husband, Jason, in Ithaca). Despite their wedding being in New York, Michelle and Alastair happened to be in Philadelphia for Michelle’s bridal shower. Need a flow chart? I do.

Regardless… I met with the adorable Michelle and Alastair for a lovely (albeit rainy) engagement session at 30th Street Station.

Let me just tell you that these two couldn’t keep their eyes off of each other. They were all grins and giggles. Seriously. They had each other smiling and laughing throughout the whole shoot.

It was just awesome that they were so wrapped up in each other. That’s exactly the kind of shooting I love to do – an amazing couple who are just with each other and I happen to be there with a camera. Perfection.

We took a stroll outside after a slight delay indoors. It was overcast and slightly drizzly, but the weather wasn’t going to get these lovebirds down.

I love the columns around the building. There are so many cool places to shoot.

We wandered back inside and up to the tracks. Yeah… what photographer?

And this was my absolute favorite shot of the day. It feels like it came right out of 1940s Europe.

Thanks so much, you two. I can’t wait for the Ithaca wedding in just a couple short months! See you soon!

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Art Museum area | Moira + Brett
Moira and Brett are the kind of couple that make my job so incredibly easy. Their smiles and laughter were just effortless. They were such a dream and I can’t believe I have to wait another year for their wedding at Holly Hedge Estate.Moira and Brett were set up through a mutual friend. They had actually met each other previously though it was pretty brief and we don’t really talk about that… They now live in Conshohocken with a high maintenance cat who is allergic to everything but we planned their engagement session around the places they lived in the beginning of their courtship – near the Philadelphia Art Museum. We wandered along the ...

Main Line Engagement Photographer | Ridley Creek State Park | Christina + Jason
I think I might have found a new favorite location for engagement pictures.  On second thought, it’s entirely possible that I loved my session with Christina and Jason because of them.  And Tessa. We went to Ridley Creek State Park on an exceptionally gorgeous afternoon with their energetic German Shorthair Pointer (apologies for the redundancy there), Tessa.  She is 3 years old, beautiful, and found the entire situation UN-FREAKING-BELIEVEABLE!!! Jason had gotten the dog to help him pick up chicks.  Christina and Jason started dating the very next week.  Kudos, Tess! The two met tailgating (Christina and Jason, not Tess ...
