Michelle + Alastair: Engagement Session at 30th Street Station
30th Street Station in Philly is just gorgeous. I absolutely adore the architecture and it’s just neat to photograph at a train station.
Michelle and Alastair found me through some strange connections (my friend Martha who lives in Seattle who I met at photography school in Montana referred me to Michelle and Alastair who live in San Francisco but met Martha and her husband, Jason, in Ithaca). Despite their wedding being in New York, Michelle and Alastair happened to be in Philadelphia for Michelle’s bridal shower. Need a flow chart? I do.
Regardless… I met with the adorable Michelle and Alastair for a lovely (albeit rainy) engagement session at 30th Street Station.
Let me just tell you that these two couldn’t keep their eyes off of each other. They were all grins and giggles. Seriously. They had each other smiling and laughing throughout the whole shoot.
It was just awesome that they were so wrapped up in each other. That’s exactly the kind of shooting I love to do – an amazing couple who are just with each other and I happen to be there with a camera. Perfection.
We took a stroll outside after a slight delay indoors. It was overcast and slightly drizzly, but the weather wasn’t going to get these lovebirds down.
I love the columns around the building. There are so many cool places to shoot.
We wandered back inside and up to the tracks. Yeah… what photographer?
And this was my absolute favorite shot of the day. It feels like it came right out of 1940s Europe.
Thanks so much, you two. I can’t wait for the Ithaca wedding in just a couple short months! See you soon!
