Personal

How is it October already?! I can’t believe how quickly the year has flown by. This month is officially the busiest month I’ve ever had. There are so many incredible weddings that you’ll see splashed across the blog soon. And if you know someone getting married in 2012, tell them to get going because I’m already halfway to my wedding limit for next year. Crazy, right?!

In honor of this fabulous month devoted to baseball, fall colors, and All Hallows’ Eve, I’m giving you some digital candy (if you come by my place I’m happy to give you real candy too, but I’ll expect a trick). Candy corn gets a bad rap. Granted, it tastes just like a bunch of sugar but it’s so quintessentially Halloween and who doesn’t still get at least a little twinge of excitement when thinking back to Hallloweens as a kid and the monstrous amount of loot from a successful night out. So please tell me you’ve got a costume party or two to attend. I expect to hear stories of sugar overload, fabulous costumes, and pumpkin carving.

Every month I feature new images for download for you to use as your desktop background. Click to download it and see it at its huge size and resolution.

Please note these images are made available for personal use only.

Nothing on earth so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night.

My trip to Ikea yesterday probably didn't help matters. And I love Pottery Barn but I really wish they wouldn't cram so much stuff into their pictures.I'll order all of the following, please:My kitchens (that's right, I'll have several)Bedrooms(Note the canopy bed. I saw this pic in the book The Comforts of Home by Atlanta Bartlett and I've been obsessed with this bedroom ever since! The bed, white w ...

Holiday 2007 Part II
Fast forward a few weeks to December 22nd when Rich, Emma, and I traveled to Berlin, Maryland (basically Ocean City, MD) to celebrate Christmas with my mom and uncle. A good time was had by all. There was the obligatory putting-the-santa-hat-on-the-dog and fire potatoes my uncle swore by (yeah, those black nuggets aren't coal). We watched Scrooged, a family tradition, and opened all of the gifts Christmas Eve since we had to leave early on Christmas. My awesome gift of the year is my brand-spanking new photography case with wheels and everything.* I now have license to bring even more stuff. Yay!*Cancun was the Xmas gift between Rich and ...

Who has time for personal updates?  I haven't had more than 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep in, well, I couldn't tell you.  At least 7 months when our tiny man, Finn, came on the scene.  Here is what life has been like since then:   So yeah, a lot of these two happy, blue eyed little boys!  It has been a wild ride and more fun, frustrating, heartwarming, maddening, and hilarious than I ever imagined. Now for some sleep!
