Personal

How is it October already?! I can’t believe how quickly the year has flown by. This month is officially the busiest month I’ve ever had. There are so many incredible weddings that you’ll see splashed across the blog soon. And if you know someone getting married in 2012, tell them to get going because I’m already halfway to my wedding limit for next year. Crazy, right?!

In honor of this fabulous month devoted to baseball, fall colors, and All Hallows’ Eve, I’m giving you some digital candy (if you come by my place I’m happy to give you real candy too, but I’ll expect a trick). Candy corn gets a bad rap. Granted, it tastes just like a bunch of sugar but it’s so quintessentially Halloween and who doesn’t still get at least a little twinge of excitement when thinking back to Hallloweens as a kid and the monstrous amount of loot from a successful night out. So please tell me you’ve got a costume party or two to attend. I expect to hear stories of sugar overload, fabulous costumes, and pumpkin carving.

Every month I feature new images for download for you to use as your desktop background. Click to download it and see it at its huge size and resolution.

Nothing on earth so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night.

Every month I feature a new image for download for you to use as your desktop background. Click to download it and see it at its huge size and resolution. To me, November means cold and crisp. In San Francisco it can mean cold and foggy. Very cold and very foggy. These pictures were taken on the Marin side of the Golden Gate Bridge on a frigid day when the fog was so thick, you could hardly see five feet in front of you. Serious fog.Enjoy!I have loved living in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's not all peaches and plentiful parking but it has been a fabulous place to live and, if the conditions were right, I would stay here forever.I loo ...

December? December?! What? How? When did that happen? I could have sworn it was just October. Things at Lindsay Docherty Photography are just crazy. Winter is supposed to be slow but if you’ve seen all the blogging the past few weeks and months, you’ll know that there is plenty going on. It’s almost to the point where I need to put “breathe” on my ‘to do’ list just as a reminder. But I can’t complain. Things are pretty awesome. My couples continue to inspire and delight me and looking forward to 2012 has me on pins and needles with excitement. Things aren’t just busy in my business life, but I’m heading out to Las Vegas on Saturday ...

Alas, the last few days of color are upon us. Too soon my gorgeous fiery leaves will be crunchy brown heaps along the sidewalk. The amazing textures and colors of fall are almost kaput in favor of, well… who knows because it’s too freaking cold to go outside and see!I dread the next few months. My fingers, nose, toes, and everything in between tell me that it is time to fly south or hibernate. One or the other because leaving the confines of comfy flannel sheets is not working out. Luckily, the end of the year holds some exciting things for me and my business. It is the first holiday season in our new house, Glen Yiddish (I’m Scottish a ...
