Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Art Museum area | Moira + Brett

Engagement

Moira and Brett are the kind of couple that make my job so incredibly easy. Their smiles and laughter were just effortless. They were such a dream and I can’t believe I have to wait another year for their wedding at Holly Hedge Estate.

Moira and Brett were set up through a mutual friend. They had actually met each other previously though it was pretty brief and we don’t really talk about that… They now live in Conshohocken with a high maintenance cat who is allergic to everything but we planned their engagement session around the places they lived in the beginning of their courtship – near the Philadelphia Art Museum.

We wandered along the picturesque streets towards the apartments Moira lived in and eventually lived with Brett. I absolutely love it when we photograph around places with such personal significance.

We meandered around Fairmont Ave near Eastern State Penitentiary and made use of its fantastic stone walls and a local school. The colors and textures were simply magic!

Brett popped the question at the Ritz Carlton’s XIX restaurant. She was completely surprised since it was around the same time as her graduation from grad school so it was sold as some celebratory drinks in the city. Brett wanted to be out on the balcony but that June day was just too hot. As it was, they had the place all to themselves because it was the very beginning of happy hour. It was perfect. Afterwards, he took her to dinner at Bridget Foy’s, where they had had their first date.

Moira, many thanks to your sister for doing all the work in hooking us up! I absolutely can’t wait to see you two again next September.

Chester County Engagement Photographer | Longwood Gardens | Katie + Dave
Four years ago Katie and Dave met at a mutual friend’s dinner party. Truth be told, Dave wasn’t too smooth. They parted ways and reconnected a few years later on Facebook when he wished her a happy birthday and tried his luck again. This time it stuck. They met up for dinner at the same place of their first meeting and then wandered around the library browsing old books for sale for a dollar.I’m sure you can guess that things went well because I met up with them at Longwood Gardens for their engagement session on a chilly day this March during Orchid Extravaganza. They both live in Michigan now but Katie grew up right around the corner a ...

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Kelly Drive | Megan + Brian
Megan and Brian met in college at Lehigh University. They were friends first, then physics lab partners, then they started dating. They have been together for six years now and will be getting married this August at the Please Touch Museum.I met Megan, Brian, and Jake, their 2.5 year old cocker spaniel, along Kelly Drive for their engagement session. As if these three weren’t already charming and incredibly photogenic, we were given the best lighting a photographer could ask for. I’m so glad they picked the perfect day to drive down from their home in Brooklyn.Megan had scoped out this stunning yellow diamond ring and passed the note to a ...
