Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Philadelphia Museum of Art | Kate + Kevin
Engagement
This session had already been postponed once and I had already called it off on this day due to impending thunderstorms. I am soooo thankful that I kept refreshing weather.com because the evening for Kate and Kevin’s engagement session was a thing of dreams. We met at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and were given the most perfect light, clouds, and scenery. Oh, and a beautiful, happy couple.
As for these two: Kate and Kevin. They’re pretty much destined to save the world. They met five years ago at a homeless shelter (Kevin runs it, Kate was volunteering). One 10 minute conversation and Kevin was smitten. He knew. They went out on two dates and Kate backed out of the romance. I’ve known Kate since high school. Sometimes she’s not so sharp. Kevin’s a good guy. They kept in touch and he emailed her on her 30th birthday and asked her out again. They had their third date and the connection was finally undeniable to Kate. As they like to say, there was just a little bit of time between date #2 and #3.
In December he took her back to the place where they had their first date, Primavera Pizza Kitchen in Ardmore. He popped the question there in the parking lot, the same spot where they had their first kiss. Kate spent dinner with huge happy tears and couldn’t eat a thing. Then they went to Llanerch Diner (date #2) where had had assembled their families as a surprise.
And if you’re going all the way out to the Philly Art Museum, you might as well strike a pose!
I can’t wait for their wedding this October at Morris Arboretum! It is bound to be amazing!
