Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Rittenhouse Square | Maggie + Adam

Engagement

Maggie and Adam are fabulous. We spent an afternoon around Rittenhouse Square basking in the fall colors and just indulging in a lot of fun! Maggie is hilarious. Not only can she slide gracefully down stair railings, the ways she looks at Adam is utter perfection. She has so many playful and loving expressions and I love them all. You’ll see in some of the pictures from the engagement session. And Adam is the self-proclaimed groomzilla (he’s hardly a ‘zilla, in my humble opinion). She’s working on her MBA and he’s taken the lead on a lot of the wedding planning process.

The two have dealt with a lot of long distance dating. She moved around a lot and somehow they ended up as roommates in LA during a 6 month program there. They shared some mutual friends from Penn State and things moved from there.

Check out what we got!

The area around Rittenhouse Square is so gorgeous. I am in love with the cobblestone streets, brightly colored doors, brick, old streetlights, ivy, and all of those little unmistakable ‘Historic Philadelphia’ elements. They introduced me to a perfect street for pictures just a few blocks away.

Don’t worry – you’ll see more of them soon enough! I can’t wait for their New Year’s Eve wedding at the Radisson Warwick (not far from our engagement session). I have a feeling it’ll be spectacular! Love you both!

Engagement Sessions at Tilden Park with Julie Cheshire
I spent part of Friday with Julie of Julie Cheshire Photography at Tilden Park in Berkeley. I have no idea how big the place is but it seems like there are new paths at every turn.I was there with Julie in March for some engagement pictures of Anjuli and Mark. Anjuli was adorable in her cute cotton dress but I felt so bad for her because it was sooo chilly that morning. She took it like a champ (I would have been a big baby). And since textures are the hot new thing in photography…Aren't they a cute couple? They were so sweet and I have no doubt that their wedding will be beautiful. And here are Amelia and Ted! We spent a few hours with th ...

Chester County Engagement Photographer | Longwood Gardens | Kelsie + Devin
I feel pretty important that these two homebodies ventured out of their house to come out for an engagement session with me.  We took a stroll around the beautiful grounds of Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. They spend most of their free time on home projects for their fixer upper in Perkasie, PA.  I’m completely impressed that Devin has taken care of plumbing, electrical, flooring, and painting everything (then again, I haven’t seen the place so there’s that).  He now has an arsenal of tools and just figures it out when there’s an issue. Despite being a self-proclaimed homebody, Kelsie is outgoing and peppy.  She has a ...

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Morris Arboretum | Amy + Zach
Amy and Zach approached me to do their engagement session a little bit unconventionally.  They wanted to be in their wedding clothes and do it at their wedding venue.  This way they could spend more time enjoying their wedding on the day of.  Pretty genius if you ask me. And so it was that Amy’s hair, makeup, and bouquet trials were all done on the same day a month before the wedding on a beautiful day at Morris Arboretum. Amy and Zach met 4 years ago online.  Clearly these two are already smart individuals.  Their first date was to a place serving pop tarts and burgers because, as Amy puts it, she has the palette of a toddler. ...
