Philadelphia Newborn Photographer | Fishtown | Harper

Family

Becky and Josh’s newborn session was held on a rainy day in their Fishtown home.  The baby was less than two weeks old.  When I arrived, Becky bounded down the stairs to greet me.  I thought I must have been in the wrong house.  She moved around with complete ease.  (A total jerk, I know!)

The windowlight was perfection that day.  Soft light fell on this brand new family and I could not get enough!

Josh and Becky thought they were having a boy for sure.  Everyone thought so.  The way she carried the baby, that she didn’t lose any of her good looks, cravings, etc.  All signs pointed to boy.

And then she arrived.  Harper Vale.  A beautiful, perfect little girl.

The H in Harper came from Heather, Josh’s sister who passed away before he was born.  The V came from Becky’s great grandmother.

Becky misses running the most though I’m sure she’ll get back to it soon enough.  She ran the Broad Street Run at 19 weeks pregnant.  Josh just finished the New York City marathon.  This kid has some swift little genes!

As with all newborn sessions, there were plenty of breaks and a few demands.  I know that one does not question the model’s orders.

The pink crocheted blanket is a family heirloom.  Little Harper was the perfect fit for it.

Congratulations, Josh and Becky, on your adorable new sugarplum!

Philadelphia Family Photographer | 1 Year | Clara
Charlotte arrived a few years back.  Now I’m not saying that she’s an obsolete model, but version 2.0 just celebrated her first birthday.  Feature-wise, Charlotte can walk and talk.  Clara, on the other hand, crawls and climbs like it’s her job and offers up the most adorable “Teek Ku” when you give her something. I may have already set plans in motion for her betrothal to my child.  It seems only right since they were born on the exact same day, only two hours apart. She's a classy little lady. We played with the whole family at their Graduate Hospital home.  Charlotte kindly let us use her bed for snuggles and tickles.  A fam ...

I’m 99% sure Nicole is a legit angel.  She has given of herself more than you can imagine and I am forever grateful for her help these last few months since I’ve had Asher.  She has a little one just a few days older, sweet Harper.  We decided to celebrate Harper’s 6 month birthday with a family photoshoot at their home in Royersford. Harper is tiny little peanut of a thing with soft fluffy hair and the loveliest gummy smile you’ve ever seen.  She’s a totally happy baby and in enamored of her big sister, Madison. Maddie is almost 2.5 and completely fiery.  Both girls share daddy’s clear blue eyes.  They are gorgeous and light ...

Philadelphia Maternity Photographer | Wissahickon Park | Christie
Christie and Colin needed some pictures with their belly and city before moving back to North Carolina.  They grabbed their 12 year old St. Bernard, Daphne, and showed me a glorious part of the Wissahickon that I had never seen before.  (I’ve tried to find it again and can’t!) Christie got the look down 100%.  The textures and colors were perfection for the turning leaves and organic surroundings.  The faux (?) fur, knee high boots, dangly necklaces, and tight army green dress looked like something put together by some fashion blogger, not a nurse!  So natural and chic! They wanted this area memorialized for pictures as a walk t ...
