Kerri and Dan were to be married at Philadelphia City Hall that Tuesday. Not long before the wedding Kerri got some good news: a longtime friend of her mother’s and a judge was able to marry them across the street in the Criminal Justice Building. You may have been there for jury duty but I can assure you that the place feels so beautiful and romantic when it has a beautiful woman in a white dress there.
Kerri looked incredible in her simple gown and awesome birdcage blusher.
Dan was looking quite dapper as well.
He was showing their son, Kie, where daddy worked.
Their ceremony was very sweet, reading their own vows, with close friends and family in attendance and their own flower girl and ring bearer at their side.
I love the rapt attention of the kids.
After they were pronounced husband and wife, we wandered outside. It had been raining heavily that morning but stopped almost as soon as the ceremony was to begin. Kerri, the totally unconventional bride, hadn’t even been tracking the weather for her wedding day and wasn’t fazed at all. The overcast skies gave us great light and puddles for the pictures.
They dined and celebrated in a private party at Del Frisco’s afterwards.
Their cake arrived in the nick of time and looked great – with the classic red Philly LOVE statue on top (actually a paperweight!).
It was such a beautiful day and I smiled through the entire thing. I am in love with this image from the atrium of Philadelphia City Hall. They are so in love and so, so beautiful. Congrats, you two!
“So it’s not gonna be easy. It’s going to be really hard; we’re gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me… everyday.”
