February Desktop Images

Uncategorized

I think it’s shameful how we treat Necco candy. We’re so fickle. February comes along and we’re all about the Sweethearts (a.k.a. conversation hearts). There will be 8 billion hearts produced this year. It’s one of the most popular Valentine’s Day candies. I love em.

Just 8 short months later and Necco Wafers are grouped with Bit-o-Honey, raisins, and circus peanuts for “least desirable Halloween trades”. Even candy corn gets more respect!

Those wafers are the same thing as the hearts, you know. Dust and all.

This February when you’re gaga over those hard little candies, put a few aside for October (trust me, the taste won’t change) and relish in their cuteness once again. And do it in front of those Snickers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Respect the Necco.

Every month I feature new images for download for you to use as your desktop background. Click to download it and see it at its huge size and resolution.

Great Moments in Portraiture
The internets have some great stuff.Today I found a link to Great Olan Mills photos. Freaking hilarious. Had I been drinking milk, it would have come out of my nose.I admit that I too had the Olan Mills experience when I was younger. Thankfully, I don't own any of the pictures from it but I can tell you that it wasn't pretty. Who knew that bangs don't work on the curly-haired? My step-brother had it worse though, he was in high school at the time of the pictures and, well, he had curly hair too. Big curly hair.I actually had a great client last summer who came to me for family and graduation portraits. They were a really really fun gro ...

Heather: Senior Session in Merion, PA
Perhaps you remember Heather from a senior session we did last spring in Texas. Well, goodness, she was only a junior then so we had to do another one now that she's a senior. She braved the cold weather of Pennsylvania and visited me. We shot at Merion Park, right down the street from where I grew up. I'm so fond of this place.Just like before, Heather was a natural. Totally beautiful! I can't wait to find out where she'll be going to college next year!Graduation is only a concept. In real life every day you graduate. Graduation is a process that goes on until the last day of your life. If you can grasp that, you'll make a difference. ...
